Incarcerated individuals are people. They are human beings and have rights to humane treatment. Jails and prisons are not trash cans where people are thrown away. MIS Movers & Shakers strives to ensure that incarcerated individuals are not seen and garbage to be thrown out of society. We advocate for legislation that requires fair, humane and authentic rehabilitative treatment for individuals housed in jails and prisons.  

 

MIS recognizes and identifies with the negative impact of the incarceration of a loved one. Some issues are feminist, human rights/ humanitarian, economic, class 

That will result in

 

MIS will use 100,000 to build capacity, with an intentional focus on BIPOC communities. Likewise, these text conversations will build and strengthen MIS social media presence to gain supporters while deepening their awareness of the importance of seeing the Invisible Prisoner via exercising their right to vote and amplifying their voices on issues and legislation that affects their daily lives.
